Cadet Program
Our school is unique in that we require all students to participate in the Cadet Program of the Civil Air Patrol, a civilian volunteer organization sponsored by the U.S. Air Force. The Cadet Program instills in American youth the core military values of integrity, service, respect and excellence. Citizenship, leadership, character, physical fitness, personal accountability, benevolence and safety are hallmarks of the ideal Cadet.
Serving as a vehicle for our challenging academics, the Cadet Program exposes students to aviation and aerospace concepts with course materials provided by the Civil Air Patrol. The program is fully developed and meets Indiana standards. Ultimately for students, the program is challenging and fun! Over 26,000 American youth participate in the Cadet Program nationwide to grow up and become great leaders.
CAP Participation
Participation in the Cadet Program does not mean the student will have to join the Air Force or any other branch of the military after high school. The Cadet Program exists merely to introduce youth to core military values and to inform them of the opportunities available in the military, motivating some to choose military service when they become adults.
