Today we played a game on Scholastic.com called "Who Am I?". We are now done studying both candidates. In all classes, we discussed our class projects.
Alpha/Bravo
Students have been assigned a candidate for the debate. Students have been instructed to look more closely at the issues presented by their candidate and write pros and cons (strong or weak points). If possible, they were told to copy information down on paper or print it out and bring it to class tomorrow. We will continue this all class tomorrow and debates will be on Monday.
Charlie/Delta
Students were told for the last 1 1/2 weeks to have a poster for my class. They are created a campaign poster for a candidate of their choice. This poster should be appealing and draw attention. The purpose of the poster is to persuade others to vote for their candidate. This is their poster and their design. The only things I ask students to include are: the name, a picture of their candidate (can be hand sketched then colored or printed), symbols, their candidate's slogan (all students have a brochure with this on it for both candidates), and be neat. Students can start on it tonight and will be given class time tomorrow to finish. If students do not have their poster, they will receive a "0" for the assignment. NO LATE POSTERS will be accepted.
