Some cadets were able to work on their MYSTERY GRAPHS that were started last week when I had a substitute.  Many were busy trying to complete missing assignments.  At APA it is expected that ALL work be turned in to the teacher.  If cadets do not do all homework or classwork (even when sick or suspended) they will not be ready for high school math classes!  Extra credit will be offered on Monday and we will start Chapter 4!

Part B of Chapter 3 Test was today worth 50 points.  IF your cadet has NO missing assignments there will be extra credit offered to be turned in on or before Wednesday.   Also as a reminder, all cadets started with 60 participation points and that will be added at the end of the 6 weeks to complete their grade.  The participation points are NOT extra credit points - it is like a 60 point assignment!

Algebra- Mathematician Projects were due today! Some students did not turn in a paper and/or do an approved presentation. This assignment was worth 100 points. Those who completed the project did a very nice job. Presentations in class today- No homework.

Geometry (section 3)- 4.1/4.2 Practice; 4.3 Notes; Computer lab for Algebra Review- no homework.

8th (Delta and Alpha) - No homework, (Bravo and Charlie) - Study for Chapter 5 Test

Skeleton test on Tuesday, November 3rd.

Chapter test on Wednesday, November 4th.

In class today, Chapter Review 7-15, 16, 17, 19, 21, 22, 23, 25 and 28.

The literacy station test was handed back today. 

The book report was due today.

We worked on outlining and summarizing today.

One-on-one conferences were held today to discuss grades and to turn in all chapter ?'s, vocabulary, and reading log for The Giver.  There will be a 500 point unit test on Monday.  Atychiphobia Bonus will be passed out on Monday (due Wednesday in class).

We have finished notes for chapter 10. For review over both chapters 9&10, the large assignment is:

p 237/ 1-10 all, 11-21 odd, p 252/ 1-5, p257/ 1-10 all, 11-23 odd.

Homeowrk, Test and Notebooks are all due Monday/Tuesday..

The cadets should know the 4 main parts of cellular respiration along with the reactants and products for each part. For cell division, the cadets should be able to describe the steps in the cell cycle including mitosis and cytokensis.

We finished the notes on Chapter 6 Streams and Groundwater. The review assignment for Monday is p 179/1-8 and p 183/1-10 all, 11-21 odd, 23, 27, and 28.

The Test is Monday and their notesbooks are also due Monday.

Part B of the Chapter 3 Test was given today worth another 50 points!  IF all missing assignments are in on Monday there will be extra credit offered.  Also at the end of the grading period, I will post participation points for the 6 weeks to complete the grade.  Many cadets still have their 60 points.  Others do not because of being tardy, not being prepared for class, talking while I am trying to teach a lesson, out of seat without asking... ect.  The Daily Point System was on the yellow letter that all parents should have seen at the start of the 6 weeks and a your signature is on file.
