The substitute teacher handed out 3 worksheets on Monday.  Today in class I gave the cadets time to work on the papers.  One is about problems with exponents like we are working with in Chapter 8.  The other 2 (and all steps must be shown) is a good review on using the distributive property and solving equations.  All 3 will be due at the start of class on Wednesday. 

Monday was the start of a new 6 weeks!

The substitute teacher on Monday gave the cadets 3 worksheets on %'s.  We worked in class today on them.  If not finished - the 3 worksheets are homework.  Also I handed out to some cadets who were finished a PERCENT-O worksheet.  If your cadet did not get one for homework - they will get it Wednesday.  We will save the answers from this and make a game if we have extra time later.

We have begun our study of PowerPoint 2007.  Lessons 1 & 2 will be covered this week.   As we have done with past parts of Office 2007, students will be creating files and doing demonstrations to show they have mastered the material.

IN CLASS (from 2-23-10):

1. Copy review verbs into notebook, both German and English meanings.

2. Partner work: conjugate verbs and make posters.

3. Turn in homework (paragraph about self).

HOMEWORK: Translation worksheet (your 4 assigned sentences)

IN CLASS (2-23-10):

1. warm-up: "Mathe auf Deutsch" into notebooks

2. practice #0-25: various activities

3. review vocabulary phrases (in notebook)

HOMEWORK:

1. Study for quiz (vocabulary phrases and numbers).

2. Bring notebook and two sharpened pencils to class.

We worked with percents and proportions.  The homework is page 423 #10-28 Evens.

We worked with similar figures and measurement.  The homework is page 295 #6-14 Evens. 

Write Final copy of the cover letter and turn in class by the end of class.

Study for the next CAP Leadership or Module exam.

Exams for promotions will be next week except for 6&7 Alpha. 

All other flights Bravo Monday, Charlie Tuesday, and Delta Wednesday.

Today we practiced drawing faces. No homework. However, if you would like to get some extra credit, please draw three faces in your sketchbook and show me on Thursday. Have a good night!
