Grade 8 ALGEBRA

We did not get over all the homework problems - so cadets are to finish Wednesday's paper and add the 1/2 page I handed out today that is from Lesson 8.2 (part of Practice C).  More practice on Lesson 8.3 Friday.  I plan to give a test on Lessons 8.1-8.3 before ISTEP.  We will see how class goes tomorrow.  If the test is not on Monday - it will be on Friday after ISTEP is over!

Grade 7 Pre-Algebra (Alpha and Bravo)

Today I collected "wabbit" and introduced a new concept SLOPE (pages 404-405 in text).  Cadets started a worksheet to find slope of a given line on a graph using "rise over run" idea.  They are to complete the back side of the worksheet for homework.

Most cadets do not have thier colored pencils, calculator, and ruler in class - as a reminder, these are items they are to bring to class daily.

More slope problems Friday.

6-8 Charlie - ART

Today we continued working on the monochromatic silhouettes. We will spend one more day in class working on the project. Please keep track of your Section 2 questions and your rubric. Keep in mind that you will also need to write a paragraph over what you learned in class. You are more than welcome to do the worksheet and paragraph outside of class, or you can complete them in class next week. Have a great weekend!
