Blue:  Prepare for lit. terms test (A's, B's, C's).  Read chpt. 4-7 in Great Expectations.

In SSC we are working on our Compass Learning Programs.  For homework the cadets are to practice their multiplication facts.  They are to have these memorized and we have started testing their multiplication facts.

Today we began the illustration of "Three Men in a Raft". We will finish these on Thursday. Please remember to complete the two paragraph assignment along with the drawing. Have a good night!

Today we worked on the sillhouette projects. We will spend one more day working on these. Please remember to complete the worksheet, questions 1-17 and write the paragraph over what you have learned. Have a good week!

I did not have 8 Alpha or 8 Bravo today because of ISTEP.  I did have 8 Charlie and 8 Delta. 

We worked on 2 digit times 2 digit multiplication (array model) with base ten blocks.  It looked to me like it was the first time most cadets had ever used base ten blocks.  I want to do this before I teach (X - 5) (X + 2) with the algebra tiles (coming up in chapter 10).  I will teach this to 8 Bravo on Wednesday and 8 Alpha on Thursday.  No homework for any 8th grade flights.

Keep going over Lessons 8.1, 8.2, 8.3 ........ TEST on FRIDAY!

7 Alpha was testing so I did not have them for class (only ISTEP) - so no homework!

7 Bravo I did have for class and we worked on the concept of "sales tax" - a chart was made in class with 7 entries.

If the chart was not complete at the end of class and turned in to me - then it was homework.  If cadets would have a calculator, the chart would have been finished in a short time.  Some cadets had to "paper/pencil it" with decimals.

7 Alpha will work with sales tax on Thursday.
