Grade 8 ALGEBRA

New Chapter, New Concepts - Polynomials!  We will be adding and subtracting using the vertical method. 

Homework:  Page 580 # 33-60 (multiples of 3).  Copy the original problem from text, then show vertical method.  Don't forget to change a subtraction problem to an addition problem.

Grade 7 Pre-Algebra (Alpha and Bravo)

The new concept for today was "simple interest" in the percent chapter.  Wednesday we will cover compound interest.Two formulas for today are:  I = Prt and A = P( 1 + rt). 

Homework:  Pages 364-365 # 3-6, 14-16.

6th and 7C/D Language Arts, 3/9/10

I was not here yesterday.  Cadets had a pop quiz over The House of Dies Drear, and read chapters 12 and 13.  They also got their spelling/vocab list and had to write them five times each.
