Soccer conditioning and reminders...

Reminder to HS soccer players and parents:

There will be no soccer conditioning this week.  Our next meeting will be Tuesday, July 13th from 4:30-6:00pm.  Following the practice, I would like to meet briefly with parents.

A few things to keep in mind:

Before July 17th all HS soccer players must order the required equipment on-line.  The flyer describing how to make this order is attached and ONLY the items stared are required (Nike America Short and both black and white Twin City socks).  I will also be passing the flyer out at the meeting on the 13th and possibly placing orders there.

If physicals have not been done yet they need to be done as soon as possible!

Thanks and I hope everyone had a great 4th of July!

Soccer Conditioning Tomorrow

Just a reminder that soccer conditioning will begin tomorrow night (July 1st).  The conditioning session will be held at the APA middle school building and will last from 4:30 to 6:00pm.  There will not be another session until Tuesday, July 13th.  I hope to see many high school soccer players tomorrow!

Soccer Summer Schedule (a few changes)

High School Soccer Players and Parents,

I have made a few revisions to the summer conditioning schedule, which is attached to this posting.  The changes will hopefully be reflected in the master schedule soon.  There has been a change in the start date.  We will begin on July 1st, but there has been a week that has been cancelled.  If you have any other questions please let me know!

Grade 8 ALGEBRA

Today cadets completed the regular octagon and regular dodecagon with a compass and straight edge, and one of the designs from the chart on the board.  Any additional constructions from the chart will be considered extra credit.  All missing assignments are due for 1 point on Friday.  If a cadet has missing assignments, no extra credit points will be earned.

I collected books today and many cadets did not turn one in - if your cadet does not turn in his/her book - you will be charged.

Homework was handed out at the end of the class - 30 "order of operations" problems due on Friday.  All work must be shown for credit - just answers will be zero points!

More constructions can be made on Thursday during class.

Grade 8 ALGEBRA

I graded the geometric design problems and some cadets followed directions and completed the work, in return earned 20 points, others just are not following through with homework or following directions.

Today I collected constructions for a regular hexagon, triangle, quadrilateral, octagon, and dodecagon. I will be able to tell by the construction arcs if they were following directions or just drawing the polygons.

I will collect books on Wednesday.  Look for a homework assignment tomorrow.
