CAP Uniforms

Numerous cadets are wearing their Air Force shirts on Thursday, but wearing their school uniform blue pants.  This is not acceptable.  I know of some uniform issues that should be corrected by mid week.  However, many of the excuses are that my Mom will not let me wear the Air Force pants, or they are at grandma's for hemming, etc.  There will be no further excuses on uniform violations.  All cadets MUST wear proper and full uniforms including their belts, hats and all required pins and devices.  If a cadet loses a uniform item they are responsible for replacing that item on their own and not asking CAP or APA staff to do so for them.  They will be held responsible for such until the item is replaced.  I would suggest the items be obtained thru www.thehock.com .  You can also get shoes from Sears online store including the Air Force style Bates shoes.  I have been told they are about $26.00.  Any questions, let me know.  Thanks.

Donation Opportunity

Dear friends,

I want my students to have as many great learning opportunities as possible, but sometimes I just can't get the funding I need. To address this issue, I turned to DonorsChoose.org.

Here's the scoop.  At this nonprofit website, public school teachers (like me!) submit projects for materials or experiences their students need to learn. These ideas become a reality when concerned individuals (like you!) choose projects to fund. Donors who complete project funding or give more than $100 receive photos and personal thank-you notes from the students they helped.  It's easy - and very rewarding.

The great news is that my project, Let There Be Light!, is now posted at DonorsChoose.org! Check it out at:

http://www.donorschoose.org/donors/proposal.html?id=304077&utm_source=teachers&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=TeacherMarketing

Take a look. Also, please consider supporting me and my students by forwarding this message to others who may be interested in improving education.

Best regards,

Jill Barker
