If you haven’t had a chance to see “Wonder”, you now have an extended opportunity to do so and raise some much needed funds for our choir department.  The folks at Filmraiser, Lionsgate and Wonder the Movie have decided that they wanted to continue to give us a dollar for every ticket purchased through the month of December.  This movie is so good for the soul during this Christmas season.  If you are wanting to see the film, please consider going to this link to purchase your tickets. http://www.filmraiser.com/tickets ; then enter “Anderson Preparatory Academy Choir Department” to search and select our cause; then follow the prompts to purchase your tickets.  The website will take you to a specially coded link through Fandango, an online movie ticket site. Through their site you can select your theatre and sometimes even your seats. Yay!  I mean, who doesn’t love to have reserved seats in a movie theatre?!? Enjoy this incredible movie! [...click for more]

Beginning Monday, November 27, 2017, after Thanksgiving break, students will not be allowed to leave APA and cross Meridian Street to the Payless parking lot until 3:40 p.m.  Currently students crossing back and forth to the Payless parking lot are delaying the dismissal process and causing a safety issue.
If you pick up students in the Payless lot, please expect the pick-up time to be after 3:40 p.m.  Please remember, the Payless is private property.  Parents should not be parking in that lot unless they are shopping at Payless.
Just a reminder that the few parking spaces along Meridian just east of APA are for parent pickup of students with documented mobility issues, they are not for general pick-up after school.  If students attempt to cross at the corner of 29th and Meridian, they will also be held until 3:40.
Thank you for your cooperation as we try to improve the process of providing a smoother and safer dismissal.

We have partnered with Filmraiser to raise money for the choral department this year.  It’s a great opportunity to do the things we do and at the same time give back to our kids.  The first movie we are partnering up with them on is this wonderful film called WONDER, starring Julia Roberts, Owen Wilson and Jacob Tremblay. It’s based on the New York Times Bestseller of the same title. WONDER tells the incredibly inspiring and heartwarming story of August Pullman, a boy with facial differences who enters fifth grade, attending a mainstream elementary school for the first time. Here is a link to the trailer for this very precious movie. https://youtu.be/ngiK1gQKgK8
