    APA accepts applications for certified teachers throughout the year. If interested, please complete the Certified Application and submit electronically to Deidre Powers or in-person at our 29th St. location. Applicants must have a Bachelors Degree, a Department of Education teaching permit, and a clean national criminal background check. Applications are also available in the front office of each our buildings.

  • Substitute Nurse
          Candidates must possess at least a CNA license, but we would prefer LPN.
          Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  1. Administer medications and treatments as ordered
  2. Provide care for student and staff illness and accidents.
  3. Administers care based on individual health care plans and individual emergency care plans.
  4. Serve as a liaison between home and the school regarding student health concerns.
  5. Document all encounters in Electronic Health Record.
  6. Follows communicable disease control procedures and informs administration and/or parents regarding school exclusion and readmission.
