Lieutenant Torgerson graduated from Bemidji State University in Bemidji, MN with a BA in Social Studies and a History minor. He received his teaching licensure from the University of Indianapolis and will finish his MA in Teaching in the summer of 2019. Lieutenant Torgerson worked in retail management for 9 years and came to Indiana from Minnesota while transferring for Sam’s Club. In between retail positions, Torgerson worked in large-scale utility construction; operating directional drill rigs. This position required a great deal of travel that led to him working in 30 different states and Canada. Last school year, Torgerson was the 6th grade ELA/Social Studies teacher in the Pre-Academy. He is now in the high school social studies department teaching World History, U.S. History, and Topics in History. Torgerson also serves as the head football coach at APA and is committed to building a successful program that will positively represent APA going forward.
