We are so thankful for our families that braved the snow and joined us for our Grinchy Good Night of Reading! Cadets and families enjoyed fun Grinch themed literacy games, learned how to use AI, and enjoyed goodies at the Who Cafe as they hunted for the missing ornaments. Many Grinchy prizes were earned and lots of holiday shopping happened at the Penguin Holiday Shop too! Everyone had a fantastic time!

Our K-2 Cadets at 22nd put on a wonderful Holiday Music and Art Show last week that left us all feeling in the holiday spirit. Mrs. Hoesman created an art display to showcase winter themed art made by these 9 classes. Mrs. Main worked with our cadets to bring some of our holiday favorites to life including Jingle Bells in English and in Spanish, Let it Go, and more! Kindergarten hosted a mock Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade for their cadets on Friday. Each cadet designed a balloon and was able to walk the halls, as the older cadets lined the walls and cheered. It was such a success and brought smiles across the building!

Miss Fraley’s Kindergarten Class has been finishing learning their letters and sounds. One of their letters last week was Q. Each cadet was in charge of designing one piece, so they could put it all together to make one giant Q Quilt!

On behalf of Cadet Council and the Lighthouse Team, secondary (6-12 only) cadets may dress down for FREE on Wednesday, 11/20, and Thursday, 11/21, of this week. Wednesday, secondary cadets are encouraged to wear school-appropriate pajamas. (No slippers) Thursday, secondary cadets are encouraged to wear colors of fall (brown, red, orange, yellow).
