SFC Lewis walked our cadets through the same warm-up routine soldiers use to get ready for their PT workouts, and showed them why each movement matters. Our cadets got a first-hand look at the discipline and preparation the Army builds into every workout, and they kept up the whole way. We appreciate SFC Lewis giving his time and experience to our students. College Application Week

SEPTEMBER 21-25, 2026

College Application Week is part of College GO! And is a national initiative of the American College Application Campaign (ACAC). The goal is to help high school seniors navigate the college admissions process and ensure each student submits at least one admissions application.

Many Indiana universities join in the celebration by taking away their college application fees for a week or longer so that students can apply for free.

Thanks to your efforts, we have been able to help over 200 APA family members and Anderson community members. I am happy to announce that we will be continuing distributions for APA families and community members who are currently in need. We had to take some time to move and regroup, but we are ready to open our doors again. If you would like to donate to our continued efforts to support our families and communities, donations can be dropped off at the front office at our 29th St. campus or can be sent in with your cadet and we'll get them to where they need to go. If you are interested in making a financial donation, you can do so using this link: https://public.eventlink.com/fundraising?cd=250 or drop off your donation to the front office at either campus. After tomorrow's organization day and following each distribution, we will send out a list of our donation needs. Additionally, if you, your family, or someone you know is in need, please let them know the days and times we’ll be doing actual distributions. Our first year of the elementary soccer showcase was a success. While we didn't keep score, we felt like all of our participants were winners. Thank you to everyone who participated and we look forward to an even bigger celebration next year.

Our Innovation Lab cadets put their engineering skills to the test! Using the Engineering Design Process, cadets designed and built structures with one major challenge in mind: Could their structure withstand a magnitude 7 earthquake? After planning, designing, and constructing their structures, it was time for the ultimate test: the earthquake simulation! Some structures survived the shaking, while others came tumbling down; both outcomes provided valuable learning opportunities! Cadets were able to see firsthand how design choices can affect a structure’s stability and strength, then reflect on what worked, what didn’t, and what they would change in a future design. #MakeYourDreamsTakeFlight
