Anderson Preparatory Academy will be on a 2-hour delay tomorrow, Tuesday, January 20, 2026. School will begin exactly two hours later than normal. We also hear that cream and crimson are known to help fight the cold, so cadets and staff can wear cream and crimson and/or IU spirit wear tomorrow, if they so choose, free of charge. Lt. Cook's class did an experiment to see which type of bubble gum blew the best bubbles. They researched three types of gum. Then made a hypothesis for which would be the best for blowing bubbles. We did our experiment by chewing, making bubbles, measuring, and charting our data. Finally, we analyzed our data and decided that Bubble Yum was the best at making bubbles. #MakeYourDreamsTakeFlight

Dear APA Family and the Anderson Community,

As you may be aware, APA recently became the subject of a social media post regarding our food service operations. We take these allegations extremely seriously, and the health and safety of our students and staff are paramount to what we do at APA. We understand the reactions from our community to these posts and would like to address the context of these photos and our current operations.

We have reviewed the social media post, and from what we can surmise, these photos were not taken during this school year or during the course of normal school operations. The assumed source for these photos is a former employee of our Food Service Management Company (FSMC) who has not worked in our buildings since the end of August 2025. They appear to have been taken during a deep cleaning that occurred over summer break when kitchen operations had been closed for several weeks.

These photos do not represent the current operational status of either of our kitchens. The Madison County Health Department did visit APA today and confirmed that these do not reflect our operations. Our FSMC follows all food safety protocols and health department regulations as required. APA has worked with a pest control company for proactive pest management for several years and continues to do so. These services include regular monitoring and mitigation.

We will continue to proactively work with our pest control management services, our FSMC, and the Madison County Health Department to ensure that our operations, levels of sanitation, and all necessary safety protocols are followed at all times of operations.

We thank you all for your concerns and support during this time as we know it means that you are just as passionate about our students as we are. We appreciate your continued support during this matter.
