Senior James Hornocker was recognized last night as one of 3 finalists for Male Scholar Athlete of the year at the Herald Bulletin Sports Awards. Today, APA participated in the Lovell Wilkerson Big Ball Co-Ed Tournament as part of ACRI's Anderson Friends and Family Reunion celebrating Juneteenth. We walked away as back-to-back champions! This July the elementary will have two Jumpstart programs for our incoming APA Kindergarten students and incoming 3rd graders. Kindergarten Kickoff and Lego Camp Adventure are designed to give kids a "jump" on the new school year using a hands on approach. Both programs are FREE and have limited space so sign up early! Madison County Health Department is offering FREE sports physicals and vaccinations at the health department full time all summer, including one evening per week and one Saturday in July. Please see the attached flyer for the dates and details.

Congratulations to Julia Smith, our 2024 Red Haven Award Nominee. The award is named for Orville "Red" Haven, the former sports editor for the Anderson Herald, who frequently wrote columns extolling not only the athletic accomplishments of area high school students but for those who excelled academically and were highly involved in their community. Criteria for the nominees include a varsity letter in at least one IHSAA-approved high school sport, excellent grades, leadership in the school and the community and good citizenship in the community during their high school career. #MakeYourDreamsTakeFlight

Congratulations to our 2023-2024 Salutatorian, Madisyn Grimes. She will graduate with 29 college credits, she is a recipient of the Hanover 1827 scholarship and a HC Choir Scholarship.
