Kindergarten hosted a mock Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade for their cadets on Friday. Each cadet designed a balloon and was able to walk the halls, as the older cadets lined the walls and cheered. It was such a success and brought smiles across the building!

Miss Fraley’s Kindergarten Class has been finishing learning their letters and sounds. One of their letters last week was Q. Each cadet was in charge of designing one piece, so they could put it all together to make one giant Q Quilt!

On behalf of Cadet Council and the Lighthouse Team, secondary (6-12 only) cadets may dress down for FREE on Wednesday, 11/20, and Thursday, 11/21, of this week. Wednesday, secondary cadets are encouraged to wear school-appropriate pajamas. (No slippers) Thursday, secondary cadets are encouraged to wear colors of fall (brown, red, orange, yellow). K-12 picture retakes are tomorrow, Monday, November 18th. If you were unhappy with your original photo, please return the original packet for retakes. If you were not here or not in uniform, please expect to have your photo taken tomorrow.
K-5 cadets need to be in regular cadet uniform while cadets in grades 6-12 need to be in CAP uniform. Virtual cadets should come in with a solid colored polo on.

We are cultivating scholars here at APA! Yesterday, cadets from several elementary classrooms earned snow cones for their growth on the IXL snapshot assessment for math and reading from the beginning of the year through fall break.

The Academy Winter Formal is quickly approaching! APA's Event Management class is hosting a Winter Wonderland dance and invites all 9-12 graders to enjoy a night of icy fun.
Our dance will be on Saturday, December 21 from 7-10pm in the small gym. Tickets will be $10 each and sold at the door.
